Diuretic herbs for high blood pressure

The list of herbs used for high blood pressure is very large, but a special place in the list is occupied by medicinal plants that have a diuretic effect. Infusions and decoctions prepared from such herbs remove excess fluid accumulation from the body, which helps to reduce blood pressure.

Hypertension (persistent high blood pressure) and heart failure are two inextricably linked diseases.

Diuretics for hypertension and heart disease

After all, the presence of one of these ailments, in the end, leads to the emergence of another disease. Contraindications and how herbal diuretics work

Medicinal plants have been used for a long time, and this made it possible to study well their effect on the body, as well as to identify a number of contraindications. The main advantage of herbal medicines, when compared with diuretics, which contain synthetic substances, is that they are, in principle, completely harmless. Naturally, with skillful and proper use, and only after the attending physician allows it.

However, it is no secret to anyone that herbs very often cause allergic reactions. Therefore, they should be used with extreme caution, especially for people who are allergic to grass pollen.

    Contraindications for taking diuretics:

    • Taking diuretic herbs is not indicated for children under the age of six.
    • Special care should be taken when taking diuretics for urolithiasis.
    • With a lack of potassium in the body, many herbs of a diuretic nature are contraindicated.
    • Diagnosis - prostate adenoma (in men) is a contraindication for herbal treatment, diuretic action.

It is also important to know which diuretic fees are used to treat a particular disease.

You should also know that some plants are aimed at treating the disease, while others are used for preventive purposes.

Herbs, which are called diuretics, help remove excess fluid from the body and thereby help eliminate swelling. Among other things, most medicinal plants have a disinfectant effect. Due to this, they have a detrimental effect on various bacteria, called pathogenic, and cleanse the genitourinary system from them, as a result, a person has a reduced risk of an inflammatory process in this part of the body.

Let's look at the mechanism of action of herbal diuretic fees. Urine is excreted intensely when exposed to an enzyme called carbonic anhydrase. The action of diuretics is mainly aimed at increasing the output of urine, and with it, excess water, as well as sodium, is removed from the body.

Unfortunately, with prolonged use of diuretics, not only excess fluid is removed from the body, but also a number of useful substances, for example, potassium, chlorine, magnesium and others. Therefore, it is impossible to get involved in diuretic fees, so as not to cause additional harm to the body.

To avoid undesirable consequences, it is necessary to replenish the reserves of useful elements in the body and for this you need to eat foods rich in potassium - dates, avocados, dried apricots, raisins.

Treatment with diuretics of plant origin must be carried out under the strict supervision of a physician and periodically examined - to be tested.

In medical practice, there is a certain scheme for taking some herbal infusions and decoctions using diuretic plants.
