Points to lower blood pressure
Many people are familiar with the symptoms of hypertension. These are headaches in the temples and the back of the head, noise in the head, dizziness, and malaise. It is necessary to treat this disease under the constant supervision of a specialist. But if, nevertheless, the disease has not progressed into a chronic form, then if acupressure is used in conjunction with standard treatment, a positive result can be achieved.
Why You Should Get a Massage
Applying acupressure, you can lower the level of pressure. In addition, the procedure improves the general condition of the patient.
Before the session, it is necessary to measure the pressure. If the level of blood pressure is within the normal range, you can proceed to the procedure. If the level of blood pressure in hypertension is elevated, then it is necessary to achieve its reduction.
It is necessary to perform massage at the following points:
- The first zone is located in the upper part of the head, immediately behind the crown of the head - during exposure to this point, the patient should be in a sitting position. This will ensure maximum effectiveness of the influence and will achieve a decrease in blood pressure.
- A point located on the line of the vertebra, on the back of the head just below the hairline - during the massage, the person should be in a sitting position.
- Biologically active zone near the dorsal shoulder blades. It is located immediately between the 3rd vertebra of the back and the shoulder blades - during the procedure, the patient should be exclusively in the prone position. Massage of biologically active zones should be performed simultaneously from both sides, otherwise the procedure will not bring results.
Massage rules:
- Active zones are symmetrically located on the lower leg, five centimeters above the ankle. When performing the influence, the patient should be in a sitting position, with the legs slightly straightened. Biologically active zones are massaged simultaneously.
- Symmetrical points located in the elbow bends of the arm. They should be massaged in the supine position. This allows you to achieve the maximum level of relaxation.
- Equidistant biologically active zones located on the human back, near the interval of 5-6 thoracic vertebrae. During a massage session of these zones, the patient is in a prone position. Points are massaged simultaneously.
- Biosymmetric points located in area 4 of the biologically active zone. When influenced, a person stays in the same position as when exposed to the 4th zone, and the massage is performed identically to the sixth points.
- An asymmetrical point located between the sixth and seventh vertebrae. When influenced, the patient can be both in a prone position and sitting, but at the same time slightly bending forward.
- The point is located in the inner part of the lower leg, 5 centimeters above the ankle. During the massage, the patient should sit on a chair of medium height, slightly spreading his legs. The points are kneaded symmetrically.
- The points located on the inside of the lower leg are a few centimeters above point No. 9. When exposed, the patient must be in the same position. It is recommended to massage biologically active zones 9 and 10 at the same time for the best effect.
- A point on the sole of the foot where a small dimple occurs as a result of squeezing the toes. To work out this area, the patient should be in a comfortable sitting position. Points are massed one by one.
Why is it important to target these areas?
For massage, they resort to circular movements and slightly indented pressures, with which you can maximize the effect on the point. The duration of exposure to one point should not exceed five minutes.
With arterial hypertension, massage of the 11th zone, on the sole of the foot, helps best of all. To massage this point, a tonic method is used, that is, stronger indentations, which are accompanied by a vibration effect. The period of exposure to the point is about 1 minute at a time. At the same time, it is necessary to massage it with an interval of 3 minutes 3 times. If the massage was done correctly, then some time after the session, you can feel a pleasant ache, as well as a significant drop in pressure.
The most effective zones that are ideal for exposure to hypertension:
- In the area of the forearm from the back, immediately under the deltoid muscle. Biologically active zones are massaged alternately with a tonic method. In this case, the patient should be in a supine position on his stomach, hands folded behind his back.
- An equally effective place is located on the inside of the wrist, immediately between the tendons. Massage is performed with rotating movements, in parallel on two hands, while they should lie on the table with the palm up.
- Points located in the temples. Massaged simultaneously in circular motions back and forth. The duration of the session should not exceed 10 minutes. The patient should be in a sitting or reclining position.
Performing acupressure alone is not enough to prevent hypertension. It must be combined with medication prescribed by an experienced specialist. In the course of how the disease subsides, it will be necessary to reduce the doses of the use of drugs, and the acupressure procedure can be used until the disease disappears completely. If the level of blood pressure in hypertension is significantly increased, then its sustainable reduction can be achieved using this method.
