High lower blood pressure: causes and treatment

Blood pressure, as a biological marker, reflects the functionality of the circulatory system and gives an idea of human health. It is generally accepted to express it in two values: the first digit is the systolic pressure, which is formed during the contraction of the heart, the second digit is the diastolic pressure attributable to the moment of relaxation of the heart muscle, created only by the resistance of the vascular bed. Persistent excess of the systolic rate of 140 mm Hg. Art., and diastolic - 90 mm Hg. Art. in medical practice is treated as hypertension. Usually both values increase equally, but sometimes only the lower value tends to rise. This is due to a number of factors that require appropriate immediate treatment.

    Etiological reasons

    Arterial pressure

Lower blood pressure rises in such conditions:

    1. Pathology of the kidneys. These paired organs play a significant role in the regulation of blood pressure. Any inflammatory lesion of the kidneys narrows the renal arteries, which regard this as circulatory failure and give a signal to increase the volume of circulating blood. The diastolic index at the same time tends to increase steadily.
    2. Hormonal imbalance in the body during pregnancy.
    3. Pathological hormonal disruptions in hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism, diseases of the "higher authorities" - the pituitary gland and hypothalamus.
    4. With heart defects and abnormal development of the bloodstream.

    Arterial pressure

All these situations cause symptomatic hypertension with a high lower measurement. Unfortunately, high pressure cannot be eliminated without correcting the underlying condition. But it also rises against the background of stress, emotional overstrain, excess caffeine in the body.

Sometimes it is not possible to establish the cause of hypertension at all, and it proceeds quietly, rarely reporting itself, but at the same time rapidly worsening the condition of the vessels.

Treatment in the case of isolated hypertension should be prescribed urgently, since its absence can lead to irreparable consequences.

    Clinical manifestations

Symptoms of a high diastolic parameter may not appear immediately. During the gained time, hypertension can significantly affect target organs, the pathology in which will make itself felt.

Arterial and venous tension manifests itself as a feeling of a heavy head, general weakness and malaise.

Later, patients report frequent dizziness with possible loss of consciousness, sleep disturbances, and biological clock failures.

    thrombus formation

To a greater extent, lower high blood pressure negatively affects the heart. The muscular organ is forced to constantly feel high pressure in the aorta and, in spite of it, push out blood. The walls of blood vessels also suffer from this, the constant tension of which leads to their wear and loss of elasticity. It is also dangerous by provoking the process of thrombosis.

Lower blood pressure may also be low. This provokes age-related wear of blood vessels, excessive fluid loss by the body, the state of pregnancy in the first weeks.

They are rarely detected on their own, mainly a low diastolic indicator is detected when measured during a physical examination or when visiting a doctor for another reason. Repeated receipt of lower pressure figures above 100 mm Hg. Art. - a reason to be examined by a doctor and receive the necessary treatment.

    Therapy of a pathological condition

Each doctor's therapeutic plan is based on the results of a complete diagnostic examination. The state of not only the heart and blood vessels is taken into account, but also the functionality of the kidneys, as well as the hormonal status of the thyroid gland.

    Hand and pack of cigarettes

Concomitant pathologies and high lower blood pressure require consultation with a nephrologist, endocrinologist, and with consequences for the eyes, an ophthalmologist.

Treatment of pathology is carried out in a complex way, both with medicines and lifestyle changes:

    • Elimination of bad habits, a slow reduction in the number of cigarettes smoked per day.
    • Dietary restriction of salt in food, the exclusion of fried and smoked dishes. The diet should be enriched with fruits, dairy products, plenty of water.
    • The harmful effects of stressful situations can be reduced by taking herbal sedatives - motherwort or valerian.
    • The doctor prescribes the treatment of the underlying disease that led to the problem of a high diastolic index.
    • Symptomatic antihypertensive therapy is carried out with diuretics, calcium antagonists, beta-blockers.
    • Norvax, normodipine, amlodipine are prescribed as restorative agents that improve the arterial and venous state.

    Norvask

    • At home, diastolic blood pressure is lowered by cold compresses on the cervical spine, light massages of this zone.
    • It is necessary to limit yourself from stress, observe the optimal sleep and rest regimen, and devote time to physical development.

Such a complex of medicinal prescriptions and the patient's own efforts will lead to an undoubted cure for the underlying disease.
The main thing is not to hesitate at the first symptoms and seek help in order to avoid irreversible organ damage.
