Increased pressure from nerves and stress

Against the background of modern ecology and other predisposing factors, all somatic diseases have become noticeably younger. Arterial hypertension was no exception, episodes of which occur even in adolescents. Hereditary weakness of blood vessels makes it impossible to withstand emotional and physical stress, which causes an increase in pressure. Stress provokes an exacerbation of hereditary predisposition and aggravates the course of many hidden pathologies of any organ system.

    Etiology of hypertension

Hypertension in clinical practice is divided into two types. The primary increase in blood pressure is directly related to hypertension, most often hereditary. This type of hypertension is the most common, but in 5% of patients the pressure rises for several other reasons. The so-called secondary arterial hypertension owes its etiology to the pathological conditions of the kidneys, endocrine glands, and higher regulatory centers of the brain.

Primary hypertension is also referred to as hypertension and most often has a chronic course. Arterial pressure in this case is persistent, not transient, so prolonged vascular hypertonicity adversely affects target organs and the body as a whole. Organs with a small vascular network suffer: eyes, kidneys, brain. As a result, first of all, vision is disturbed, the patient loses visual acuity, in the twilight it is impossible for him to distinguish the details of objects.

    Dizziness

The kidneys respond to increased pressure by reducing their excretory and detoxifying functions. The defeat of the small vascular bed of the brain is reflected by headaches of various localization, a decrease in cognitive properties, dizziness and loss of consciousness. Without appropriate therapy and compensation for the disease, the symptoms of hypertension increase and affect other organs and systems.

For a long time, hypertension did not have an exact etiology. Previous generations were thought to pass on hereditary vascular weakness and reduced ability to adapt to pressure fluctuations to their children. However, recent research shows that hypertension fits perfectly into the expression "all diseases are from the nerves."

For a long period of time, a person may not be aware of the presence of pathology in his body.

Only a strong emotional shock is manifested by a jump in pressure with vivid symptoms.

Often this is manifested by a hypertensive crisis, a heart attack or a hemorrhage in the brain. It is the stress of chronic exposure that loosens the state of the vessels.

    Stress

Emotional overstrain provokes the release of adrenaline in the body, as happens with fear or excitement. There is a characteristic trembling, blood rushes to the face, a pulsation is felt in the temporal veins. This is how stress affects the body, which, with constant influence, cannot favorably affect the vessels. The body needs to compensate for this state, and such a daily task simply depletes the adaptive mechanisms.

Naturally, a person's predisposition to hypertension also plays a role. In such people, even the slightest experience provokes a jump in blood pressure. At the same time, it is harder for an organism with a burdened heredity to restore pressure to the proper level. Repeated episodes of raising the pressure above the norm without compensation tend to be fixed, and then the arterial tone indicator always has inflated numbers, and the person lives with painful symptoms all the time.

Increased pressure to a certain level can be perceived by the vascular bed as the norm for switching on adaptive mechanisms. But their possibilities are not unlimited, especially since a lot of effort is spent on maintaining such conditions.
Humoral regulation is also turned on, which supports the body's strength by producing hormones, which further reinforces hypertension. From this, the patient feels constant fatigue, sleepiness, irritability. Often, such conditions are referred to as nervous diseases, chronic fatigue syndrome. This is partly true, but the problem is much larger.

The first stages of the formation of hypertensive pathology have a transient increase in pressure. Headaches can be noted periodically, as well as the severity of the occipital region, sensations of rapid heartbeat. If such episodes become more frequent or more serious phenomena are added: numbness of the hands, dizziness and loss of consciousness, this indicates that hypertension is turning into a chronic disease.

    Neurogenic symptoms of hypertension

Increased pressure in its key moment causes vasospasm or narrowing. Even a slight deviation of the arterial index from the norm causes a characteristic picture. According to a survey of patients, it was possible to find out that long before receiving the diagnosis of "hypertension" they prescribed migraine headaches, pre-syncope states - fatigue and lack of sleep, decreased visual acuity - frequent work at the computer. Sometimes it is the symptoms of the nervous system that cause the need for medical advice.

Headaches with hypertension are diverse in intensity, localization and other parameters:

    Headache

    • For them, localization is predominant at the back of the head, but there are complaints of pain in the temples, all over the crown, and stress is accompanied by pain all over the head.
    • Pain can be symmetrical or unilateral, and also move relative to the brain.
    • Typical high blood pressure headaches occur in the morning after waking up. On a nervous basis, they increase, with relaxation they disappear.
    • Attacks of algia can be observed after a sleepless night as a result of physical overexertion.

The results of a psychosomatic examination of hypertensive patients showed that headache with increased pressure is associated with irritation of the receptors of the cranial arteries and veins. Despite the fact that the medulla itself and its soft membranes do not have pain receptors, painful symptoms arise due to the tone of the vessels that feed the brain. Even with an increase in intracranial pressure, often there is no pain of such intensity as with hypertension.

Headache is often the only symptom of high blood pressure. Symptomatic treatment of this manifestation of the disease is quite difficult. Relief of the condition is observed with a direct impact on the cause of hypertension.

Hypertension and stress provoke dizziness. It is paroxysmal in nature with a clear sense of rotation and "leaving the soil from under the feet." The patient needs to sit or lean on a solid base.

    Dizziness

Dizziness is a more serious sign of pathology of the cardiovascular system and reflects direct damage to the cranial arteries. Attacks are usually accompanied by ringing in the ears, redness of the face.

Pseudoneurasthenic phenomena of the nervous system also occur in the clinic of hypertension. These include apathy, stress and depression, decreased performance, panic attacks of unreasonable fear. Blood pressure at high values is accompanied by nervous strain, inability to fall asleep, excessive irritability.

The efficiency drops, and it becomes impossible to perform the previously usual amount of work. Sufficient rest, adequate sleep, and a diet enriched with fruit and vegetables relieves symptoms somewhat, but returning to a normal schedule can only aggravate the effects of a chronic disease. Sanatorium-and-spa treatment in these cases is indicated when the exact cause of neurogenic symptoms is established, where the correct symptomatic therapy will be provided.

    Hypertensive crisis

Usually, only mild hypertension cannot be complicated by a hypertensive crisis. But stress of any intensity for hypertensive patients of the second and third degree can lead to irreparable consequences.

High pressure readings on the tonometer

A sharp increase in pressure to unacceptable figures for the patient's habitual state is called in medical practice a hypertensive crisis and acts as an exacerbation of hypertension.

Unusually high pressure for the body causes problems in the circulation of most organs, strikes at target organs, triggers hormonal disruptions.

    • This state is preceded by a nervous breakdown, mental overstrain, emotional stress.
    • Violations of a healthy lifestyle and the regime of the day recommended by the attending physician can lead to a sharp increase in pressure.
    • Abuse of the number of cigarettes smoked, the dose of alcohol taken, self-cancellation of drugs or their irregular intake may well serve as provocateurs of a crisis.
    • The presence of excess salt in the diet also forms the preconditions for a pressure surge.
    • Weather sensitivity and excitability of the nervous system can also work to the detriment of optimal pressure.

If the lower blood pressure indicator exceeded 120 millimeters of mercury, then this directly indicates the presence of a crisis.

Systolic pressure is not direct evidence of such a condition, since the numbers of these data familiar to each person vary significantly.

    Tablets and blood pressure monitor

But even much smaller numbers can imply an emergency state of the cardiovascular system.

For hypotensive patients, the accepted optimal pressure can cause discomfort and an acute clinical picture. Opposite situations are also observed, when exorbitant values of arterial tone do not cause the slightest symptoms and disorders.

However, hypertensive crisis is a very common pathology and requires emergency care. For such a condition, the main rule of preventive treatment is acceptable - cold, rest and hunger.

There are some other recommendations for helping a person at home in order to avoid additional complications:

    • The patient must be placed in a horizontal position with a raised head end. It is advisable not to cover, as patients most often experience hot flashes.
    • It is advisable not to talk with the patient and not to let him participate in intellectual activity. Usually there is no strength left for physical work during a crisis.
    • Patients are forbidden to smoke, and the supposedly healing cognac is also unacceptable.
    • The room with the patient must be ventilated or, if possible, cooled; in case of an attack on the street, take the victim into the shade from the scorching sun.

    Tablets "Novopassit"

    • With the established diagnosis of the pathology of the cardiovascular system, it is necessary to take the means prescribed by the doctor for an emergency.
    • Severe pain can be relieved with an analgesic or antispasmodic drug.
    • Nervous excitability, the disorder must also be eliminated with the use of sedatives: valerian, persen, novopassitis.

The critical condition of the patient requires an ambulance call and examination by a cardiologist.

Stress plays a key role in the development of high blood pressure as a chronic pathology. It also affects other systems, forming various somatic diseases.

The established etiology of various pathologies makes it possible to treat these diseases as effectively as possible. Naturally, stress and any physical overstrain are strictly limited in therapeutic measures.

A detailed treatment plan is drawn up by a qualified doctor who can correlate the etiology of treatment, the clinical picture of neurogenic and somatic disorders, and other important parameters for competent therapy and the necessary recommendations for lifestyle changes.
