    What is functional cardiopathy?

    Functional cardiopathy is a disease of the cardiovascular system. It is characterized by the absence of hypertension and pathologies of the coronary arteries. At the same time, it changes the myocardium at the structural and functional level.

    Functional cardiopathy is detected in children quite often, usually at an early age. There are many reasons for it. The disease can be diagnosed from birth or be acquired in the process of growing up.

    This disease, which is any changes in the myocardium and is characterized by its dysfunction, interruptions in the work of the heart muscle, requires mandatory treatment.

    General characteristics of the pathology

    The disease can manifest itself in both young children and adolescents with hormonal changes. Moreover, in the latter case, there may be some complications.

    Separately, it is worth analyzing the symptoms that appear in children. They differ in the origin of the disease.

    If the pathology began development in the left side of the heart, then in a child this manifests itself in the form:

    • body weakness;
    • fatigue;
    • pain in the chest;
    • rapid pulse;
    • pallor;
    • inability to perform physical exercises or in unforeseen difficulties during exercise.
    If functional cardiopathy began to develop in the right side of the heart, then the symptoms will be different.

    In this case, the disease will manifest itself:

    • shortness of breath;
    • puffiness;
    • hyperhidrosis;
    • coughing for no reason;
    • various discomforts in the region of the heart.

    In adolescence, functional cardiopathy manifests itself in the form of:

    • increased fatigue;
    • heart failure;
    • lethargy.

    Other symptoms are also possible, but not all of them are guaranteed to be detected. For example, a teenager may experience shortness of breath with even minor exertion. Maybe, but it shouldn't. In addition, the symptoms in most cases do not occur all at once, and sometimes only part of them appears. For each organism, the list is individual.

    In children, these changes lead to the appearance of other diseases. For example, thickening of the walls of the heart, anastomosis of the arteries, and others.

    In general, symptoms do not differ much between children and adolescents, but there may be additional complications at different stages of growth.

    Therefore, it is worth identifying this ailment at each stage of the growth of the child's body in different ways.

    Reasons for development

    The factors provoking the occurrence of this disease in children can be very different. For example, one of them is a passive lifestyle. It is also worth noting that the pathology worsens the reactionary functions of the vessels, such as spasms or relaxation of the walls.

    The main reasons are divided into two large groups:

    1. Internal.
    2. External.

    The previously mentioned passive lifestyle is just an internal factor.

    This type also includes:

    • general type of person (anxious or suspicious);
    • various factors associated with heredity;
    • chronic foci of infections and others.

    Among external factors, too much physical activity, temperature-related factors, various brain injuries, and mental problems and depressive states suffered by a person are usually distinguished.

    Prevention and treatment of the disease

    It should be noted right away that at the moment medicine has not reached the level of development to completely cure this pathology.

    However, there are a huge number of different ways to prevent and partially cure individual symptoms of the disease.

    Recently, laser therapy has been used very often.

    This method of treatment differs from others in that it:

    • painless;
    • harmless.

    Experts from all over the world consider laser therapy to be the most effective method of treatment. This confirms a huge number of experiments and experiments related to the impact of laser therapy on the human body with identified functional cardiopathy.

    You can also highlight the adoption of hydrogen sulfide baths as a way to treat this pathology in children. What it is? It's simple, it's an ordinary bath with the addition of a very small amount of hydrogen sulfide. However, in no case should you take them on your own. The fact is that hydrogen sulfide in certain doses can not only not advance the treatment of the disease, but also make the patient's condition worse. It even comes to death.

    Therefore, these procedures should be carried out only on the recommendation of a specialist, as well as under his careful supervision.

    It is worth noting the benefits of a course of coniferous baths, which is usually resorted to at home. This method is effective, however, all dosages and other details should also be checked with a specialist in order to avoid consequences and complications.

    Electrical current and drugs

    For children from 10 to 14 years old, electric shock treatment is used. This effect is called interference therapy, that is, the effect on the human body of a current of medium and low frequencies. The procedure is also harmless, since the current passing through the upper layers of the skin does not cause discomfort or pain to the patient.

    Sometimes direct current is used for treatment, but there are too many problems associated with it. In addition, its use on the body of a child is considered not entirely humane.

    Interference therapy works as follows:

    • has a beneficial effect on the muscles of the child;
    • good effect on metabolism and blood circulation.

    Such treatment is used specifically to improve blood circulation, since the tone of the arteries and blood microcirculation directly depend on it.

    Moreover, good blood circulation contributes to better oxygenation of tissues, the rapid removal of toxins and an increase in temperature. For children, this is especially helpful.

    In addition to procedures, various drugs are prescribed for the diagnosis of "functional cardiopathy". Usually they are prescribed by a specialist in order to activate sympathetic activity. Various modifications of calcium, acids, as well as tinctures and extracts are used as medicines. All doses are prescribed only by a doctor, therefore, to guarantee the absence of complications, you should not resort to self-medication.

    The course of treatment with drugs for children and adults is most often a month, but sometimes it can be more or less depending on the individual situation and the patient's condition.

    Functional cardiopathy can be diagnosed on its own, but in any case, the best solution would be to go to a specialist for diagnosis and choice of treatment.
