Genetics won't save you from heart disease

Dutch geneticists managed to find out that with the wrong lifestyle, even with good genetics, the risk of developing heart pathologies increases. This occurs under the influence of smoking, excess weight, lack of physical activity.

Evidence of this was obtained after a study in which three hundred people took part. The doctors were engaged in a detailed study of the genetics and habits of the people participating in the experiment. They especially took into account whether a person smokes or not and what kind of food he prefers.

The results of the tests made it possible to confirm the assumption: if, in the presence of a burdened heredity, a person eats improperly, smokes or drinks alcohol, then the likelihood of pathologies of the heart and blood vessels increases several times.

Therefore, everyone should pay more attention to the right way of life. This will reduce the chances of the disease, but if there is a genetic predisposition, then it is unlikely that the problem will be avoided.

Worldwide, the main cause of death is the pathology of the heart and blood vessels. About twenty million people die every year from hypertension, heart attack, stroke, heart failure, rhythm disturbances.
